Overall Evaluation
June 10, 2010
At the beginning of the term I wasn’t to confident on what this project would turn out to be cause usually when it’s a big team some people are more interested than others, is hard to find a task for everyone and to make a lot of compromises so that everyone stay’s happy and keeps involved .
Even though I’ve never worked with any of my group people before, I’m quite happy with the way we got along. We managed to get to know each other, that helped a lot when working as a group.Everyone had good ideas and they made a good contribution along the way.
For me it was the first time to work in this kind of environment, and I can say that I feel more confident in using the entire TV Studio, not only the camera.
Overall, I’m happy how the term turned out, I made more friends from this class and I hope we will have similar projects in the future.

• Why are studios used to make programmes when tape is so cheap and available?
•What are magazine programmes? Why do audiences like them?
• What are the limitations of magazine shows? How can they be improved to ensure they continue?
• Consider other sources of distribution for magazines type shows?
The Recording day
June 4, 2010
Today was the final recording day, everyone of us came up to the meeting half an hour before our session started in order to book all the equipment and get started how we should.
We set up the background sheets, but the sheets were creased, so the girl had to iron them cause it was quite visible on the cameras. After the set up was finished, everyone took it’s job position.
The first through wasn’t so good, but we had three more, and the last was the best so this was the chosen one. I think everybody worked well together with the other ones and that’s why our final piece was good and you could see almost 2 months of work in it.
I’m happy with our show and I can’t wait to see it when will be the screened next week.

[PUPPET SHOW PERORMANCE, AT LEAST 1 MIN]
There once was a speedy hare who bragged about how fast he could run. Tired of hearing him boast, a tortoise, challenged him to a race. All the animals in the forest gathered to watch.
Hare ran down the road for a while and then and paused to rest. He looked back at the tortoise and cried out, “How do you expect to win this race when you are walking along at your slow, slow pace?”
Hare stretched himself out alongside the road and fell asleep, thinking, “There is plenty of time to relax.”
Tortoise walked and walked. He never, ever stopped until he came to the finish line.
The animals who were watching cheered so loudly for Tortoise, they woke up Hare.
Hare stretched and yawned and began to run again, but it was too late. Tortoise was over the line.
The tortoise told the Hare, “Don’t brag about your lightning pace, for Slow and Steady wins the race!”
[DEBATE, AT LEAST 1:30 MINS]

Vt End Graphics
May 27, 2010
After I noticed that everyone liked the title graphics, we decided to make a short animation with an orange in the same style as the title sequence.

Title Graphics
May 23, 2010
Despite my job was Camera operator 3, I came up with the idea to make some nice graphics for our tv show title. I used an png image orange which I imported from Adobe Photoshop in Adobe After Effects and then I added a few more layers with colour paint splashes to give a more playful effect that fitted very well with our main theme.
Here is a screenshot from the process:

Here are the final graphics:
Hope you’ll like them
